The Migration and Foreigners Service now has eighteen assistance counters, including ten at the embarkation and eight at disembarkation, in the new International aeroport of Catumbela, with capacity for 2.2 million passengers a year.
The structure covers an area of 13,500 square meters, a three-story building, with 16 check-in counters and was opened last Monday, by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, in his visit to the province of Benguela.
It should be noted that the SME has, since some time ago, the latest technology in the control system of land and air borders, namely, CAVIS And SAVIS.
For the provincial director of the Migration and Foreigners Service in Benguela, "the workers for this new challenge are equated to the extent that in the last two years we have benefited from an influx of effective and technically qualified staff and that satisfies us," he said.
