The Migration and Foreigners in Cunene reported in the last 15 days, 20,944 migratory movements, embodied in the incoming and outgoing of nationals and foreigners, in the border post of Santa Clara, Ruacana and Calueque, learned on Wednesday Angop from a note of the sector.

 According to the report on the balance among the registered nationals and foreigners, 13,160 had legal documents passports, 11 safe-conducts and 6,834 crossing passes, towards Angola / Namibia and vice versa.

Among the expatriate were citizens including Namibians, South Africans, Zimbabweans, German, British, Mozambican, Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Brazilian, French, Cubans and Canadians, of whom 2723 as tourists.

The Migration and Foreigners Service prevented the crossing of two nationals in post-Santa Clara, for not having a corresponding license or military and non-compliance of some legal procedures for migration.

About immigration offenses, especially the entry and illegal stay in the country, there were three crimes in the districts of Kwanhama, which resulted in the arrest of four foreign citizens of Chinese nationality, Portugal, Senegal and Mali.

At the moment, the SME controls in the region 875 foreigners from several nationalities.
